Our earlier arrival in New York allowed us to go to the theatre on our first night there and we obtained tickets for Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel then in previews ahead of its official revival opening.
It is a magnificent production especially impressive for the choreography and the strong performances from its leads and supporting ensemble.
If you like musicals and can get to see it, then do so. Despite the weaknesses of its overall plot this is still a grand musical.
