'He's more Greek than Italian'

A brilliant line from 'My Cousin Rachel' which I can see myself using with a twinkle in my eye.

If you can't guess the line's meaning then I'll whisper it to you in the comments.

  1. Today in one blog I read of a musician playing French music and he looked very French, though he was Italian. Yes, start whispering.

    1. I'm sure you can guess Andrew. In the film, our hero Philip is suspicious that Rachel is engaged in an affair with an Italian, Rinaldi. That can't be so assures Philip's friend Louise because 'he is more Greek than Italian'. Louise clarifies, 'Oh Philip, he prefers boys'.
