Vietnam Day 12 - Mekong - Ho Chi Minh City

Sunrise on the Mekong
Farewelled by our crew
From our overnight cruise we motored along the river to see the largest(?) floating market on the Delta.

Ashore again we made a single file trail bearing our overnight packs through a maze of lanes to re-board our bus for the return journey to Ho Chi Minh City.

On return to Ho Chi Minh City we had the afternoon free ahead of a farewell dinner in the evening. Six of the group of eighteen will leave us tomorrow returning to Australia. The rest of us will fly to Cambodia.

Unfortunately I have no photos from the farewell dinner which was at a beautiful upmarket restaurant.

The Vietnam section of the trip has been excellent and we have high hopes for the Cambodian section.

  1. The final sentence in future tense but written with hindsight indicates to me that maybe the Cambodian part is not quite as good. Slightly strange pumpkins but one is cut open and a pumpkin it is.

    1. I often have problems with my tenses Andrew but your finely honed instincts may have served you well. Watch for future reports.
