Come closer, dear...


Apparently New Zealand's south island has moved 30cm (12 inches) closer to Australia following last week's earthquake.

That gives new meaning to a closer relationship.

  3. Andrew - that very point was raised in a BBC World Service interview I heard with a NZ Broadcaster who said they approached the airlines asking that very question and received a very curt 'no' response.

    wcs - I toyed with making the same innuendo when I created the post but decided against it. I am glad you got it in though. :-)

  4. Thanks to plate tectonics and continental drift, we are slowly moving north too which is good news for those of us having to endure winter in Melbourne.
