Wow, I remember all the vertical beam like things at the station, well before it was completed. Of course, as wonderful as it looks, how does if function for public transport? Tradies licking their fingers without a fag in a hand. Ah, the standing bloke is secreting one.
We didn't use the interchange but we did pass underneath it whilst travelling on the subway. It is a huge structure so I imagine is capable of handling large numbers of passengers. Anyway, NY's subway system, whilst very crowded, seems to work well.
All of us complain about our respective public transport systems and New Yorkers are no different. There were life size cardboard cutouts at subway stations of those responsible for the system so people would know who was responsible for their 'failing' public transport.
