Today I am
How the years fly. I am eight years older now than was my grandmother when she died in 1967. At that time it seemed to me that she was an old lady.
I don't feel nearly seventy. I don't consider myself as being old or elderly. I understand why my generation regards seventy as the 'new sixty'.
Many happy returns to you. As you know a certain person in my life is the same age and I find myself getting quite cross that he is approaching 70. While I don't want us to be young, I certainly don't want us to be old. Anyway, I hope you have a great day and treat yourself in some way.....oh, you do that every day. :)
ReplyDeleteI treated myself to far too much cake and chocolate. A bit of a Marie Antoinette, really.
DeleteHappy birthday, Victor! You are just a tad younger than my husband. The 70s approach. But wait, I remember the 70s... they were fun! Except for the clothes...
ReplyDeleteThanks wcs, I remember the 70s too.
DeleteMazel Tov good Sir. May you have many healthy years ahead of you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Damien, good to hear from you.
