We are off to explore the town of Hoi An;
The streets are crowded early this hot Saturday morning;
First stop, of course, is a Temple. This is one where locals and visitors alike leave messages (prayers?) articulating their hopes;
Colourful shopping streets;
Another temple;
Ancient bridges;
A mobile vegetable 'store';
A mobile noodle 'stall';
Tranquility;
And a wedding;
As Mr Coward wrote, only mad dogs and Englishmen are out in the midday sun so this was a good time to adjourn to our hotel for a breather and some leisure by the enticing pool.
In the evening we would return to town for a wander through the market, a cooking class and dinner. (More about that in the ensuing travel post.)
