In one of those weird coincidences following on quickly from 'Good Works' comes this staging of 'Orlando' from the novel by Virginia Woolf.
Like 'Good Works', 'Orlando' shows a character through a sequence of generations although in this case the generations spread over centuries and the character is female to start with and then mysteriously becomes a male.
Here again, a small cast portrays a multiplicity of roles and in some cases with genders with deceptive ease. Staging and lighting are used to great effect and the ensemble performances are outstanding.
