Craig, funnily enough re your comment 'at peace with its surroundings' the architect arrived during construction to find the building going up 'back to front'. What became the back of the hotel he intended to be the front and vice versa. This anecdote just adds to the overall eccentricity of the complex.
What a wonderful backdrop for outdoor dining. The hotel appears to be mix of the old and the new, and exceptionally nice.
ReplyDeleteIt surely is one of the more fascinating hotels, Andrew.
DeleteWhat a beautiful hotel. At peace with it's surroundings. I like the reception area and outdoor lights in particular.
