Orange and the bright light

With bush fires to Sydney's south, west and north today fanned by 34ºc heat and strong winds there is an eery orange cloud over most of the city and yet a gap of blue sky is casting an odd light reflected against southern fascias of CBD and North Sydney buildings.

Here is a pic captured a moment ago of North Sydney (not the best photo, I hastily used my iPhone zoom);
