'Once on a high and windy hill'*

('Love Is A Many Splendoured Thing' by Sammy Fain and Paul Francis Webster)
(Sydney Observatory)
Looking north from Observatory Hill. The Harbour Bridge and Garrison Church to the right. Houses in The Rocks below the hill. High rises at Milsons Point and North Sydney north of the harbour.
Observatory Hill, Moreton Bay Figs and it's rotunda which is available for weddings.

  1. I have not been to Observatory Hill and funnily I was looking at it the other day with Near Map and to my astonishment I saw the Cahill Expressway spiralling around in one corner. It looks like part of the park was cut into for the road and some commercial buildings. The Hill is certainly on my list next time I visit.

  3. Andrew - you are correct, the north bound ramp off the expressway cuts through the hill.

TC - there are wonderful views overlooking the harbour at various points including from this hill.
