Don't Look Now

For days now a certain 'shock jock' - appointed 'Ambassador' for the current lights display in Sydney - has been urging Sydneysiders to take a look at the lights display which is a part of Vivid Sydney, promoted as a festival for light, music and ideas.

Sounds like a good idea.

So last night, driving home from playing bridge Ce suggested we detour from our usual journey through the harbour tunnel so as to pass by the display. What a good idea, I thought and I changed over to the Harbour Bridge crossing in order that Ce could gaze across to the Sydney Opera House display.

Guess what. The Eastern lanes of the bridge were closed off for night roadworks thus completely blocking the SOH from view.
