Ka-ching!

It has been a bad week for my credit card.

- Saturday; new clothing and underwear for my mother at the request of her nursing home $200

- Tuesday; specialist consultation regarding my recent ear disturbance $209

- Wednesday; replacement hip protectors for my mother to guard against falls at the request of the nursing home physiotherapist $281

- Thursday; periodic car service and maintenance $437

- Thursday; spur of the moment clothing purchases for myself whilst filling in time during car service $320

I think I might just have a lie down now.

  1. Comes to five pound two and six. Not so bad.

  2. You can't take it with you so you may as well spend it, that's my motto. It's just rather lame that you have to spend it on necessities. I'd much rather piss it up the wall on (as Patsie Stone puts it) "hats, shoes and gloves."

  3. I've had a shocking week too, except my problem has been periodic, regular purchases. For years they have been regularly paced throughout the month. Somehow, this time, they've all ended up in the same fortnight. Oooh!

  4. It always seems that everything happens at once. I hope your unexpected expenses have stopped for awhile!

  5. Well, at least you've gotten all those things out of the way now, so the next few months you can be economical. Enjoy the new clothes!
