We were incredibly close, my last surviving grandparent (her husband passed in 2002). She was an amazazing woman who had love that knew no boundries and took my husband on as her own grandson without reservation.

I knew all of grandparents and had three of them until the 2000's. The memories of them all I will cherish forever.

Nice post.Doghighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01554908284880217563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5003118750661133842.post-91537393146314922962008-10-03T15:30:00.000+10:002008-10-03T15:30:00.000+10:00Muzbot - thanks.Marcellous - I think you are right...Muzbot - thanks.

Marcellous - I think you are right.

Afod - your reaction is interesting. It wasn't until after the AIDS outbreak that I knew I was gay. And the observation of how old we thought our grandparents were. I remember a photo of my patenal grandfather at 69 when I was 5. My father is 71 and looks like my grandfather at age 50. Then again, some of it can relate to the line of work they were involved in.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5003118750661133842.post-65585812398517153082008-10-02T12:39:00.000+10:002008-10-02T12:39:00.000+10:00I'm sure that mostly they (mothers, grandmothers e...I'm sure that mostly they (mothers, grandmothers etc) know - deep down, anyway.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5003118750661133842.post-6892178413123385462008-10-01T22:18:00.000+10:002008-10-01T22:18:00.000+10:00Great post.
